Thursday May 23, 2008 - Drive up to area

We checked out the area after dark. Found out the surrounding homes on our block are building and they have frame coming up. Ours has not yet changed, however we know it will be any time. We are planning to go up to the house on Saturday May 31 to see if there is any change. Will let you know and definately post some pictures if anything changes from only picture posted so far..

Thursday May 8, 2008 - Final design appointment

We went to the design center and we came within $100.00 of budget. We went all the way to the end. It was great. We picked a carpet called burnt sugar....it's a medium brown color and so pretty. Also, we picked our counter tops, which is Sandstone color but it is Corian material. We choose black appliances because it really popped the counter top colors. We choose maple cabinets which will be stained Cafe color. So hard to explain but it's so beautiful looking at it together.

Saturday April 26, 2008 - 1st design center appt

We went to the design center and whoa it is so overwhelming. We looked at colors for everything. Aww...so exciting.

After we went through everything we went to Olivehurst, CA to see an actual model of our house. Yes, we bought the house on plans only and for the first time today saw the model. I will post pictures of the model, however it's different from our house. There is opened space below where we will have a bedroom. Our kitchen faces a different direction too. We have triple car garage where the model only saws double car.

Thursday April 24, 2008 - Design Center

We got a call today from the Design Center our first appointment is on Saturday and next appointment to make the final decisions is on May 8, 2008. We are so excited to see what a standard house is and customizing it to our likings..:)

Monday April 22, 2008 - Love buying new

I just found out we qualified for a lower rate and we are getting more and more happier about buying the house. Our luck feels like it surely has changed.

We are still excited about the new house. Signed all the papers and we should be approved within the next two weeks.

Sunday April 20, 2008 - Finally a house

Lots of decision making went into this but we bought a brand new house in Lathrop, California. We have the slab all prepared and are waiting for them to start building. It's going to be approxmiately six months before the house will be done. Hopefully it will be done prior to summer but we will be happy if it's done by the quoted time October 20, 2008.
